Message from The Chairman

A big bonfire welcome to everyone at the Pan tonight as we warmly welcome our guests from AFC Wimbledon literally with a bang.
We also welcome all our supporters from the Bonfire Societies and wish them a fantastic fifth for next week.
Yes tonight is our Bonfire night game where the club makes its small mark in recognising the great Lewes bonfire tradition.
Lewes go into this game in great cup form scoring four goals in both of our previous two cup games (not to forget that we also scored four in our last league outing at the Pan).
Tonight we return to the serious matter of the league where we want to match our bright start to the season and get a good run of results together. The cup games have given us the opportunity to rest players who have been carrying niggles and given others a chance to shine and claim their place in the starting eleven. This has shown that we have got a strong squad this season and everyone’s game will be lifted by the competition within the squad.
The pre game fireworks may have elicited some oohs and aahs but let’s hope the Rooks performance generate more during the game.
Come on You Rooks
Trevor
