Lewes FC Women 2025/26
Hello and welcome to the Dripping Pan to see the Rooks take on Cheltenham Town.

Ruby Seaby, who joins us on loan from Ipswich, scored a belter last week, to make us level against Exeter in rainy, difficult conditions. This week the Rooks take on the Robinesses of Cheltenham Town.

Message from The Chairman

A warm welcome to everyone at the Dripping Pan this afternoon as for the second week running we welcome a team from the South West with a similar league record to ourselves. Welcome everyone from Cheltenham.
Last week we saw the Rooks come back from a first half 0-1 deficit to level the score and push for a winner in a lively second half performance.
Unfortunately the game was cut short in the closing minutes following a medical issue suffered by Exeter captain Bow Jackson. Given that the wellbeing of players is paramount the referee abandoned the game as medical teams from both teams attended to Bow until ambulance staff arrived. We thank everyone who attended to Bow.
The referee made the right call and we now await confirmation from the league as to whether the 1-1 scoreline will stand.
Everyone at Lewes wishes Bow a speedy recovery and a swift return to both the football pitch and serving the public in her role as a firefighter.
Our second half performance was spearheaded by our debutant Ruby Seaby netting the winner, showing how important it can be to freshen up the squad during the WSL mid season transfer window.
The reset of the squad has also seen the departure of Taylor Bell to AFC Wimbledon and then this week news that first team regular and fan favourite Sarah Harvey has decided to seek a fresh challenge away from the club.
We wish both Taylor and Sarah all the best for their future. Sarah’s two seasons at Lewes will be long remembered not only for her strenuous, wholehearted efforts on the pitch but the work she did in the community coaching and supporting girls football in Lewes. We are going to miss you Sarah!
This afternoon promises to be another cracking match. Come on You Rooks
